Life-Style Management Workshop

Why does your organisation need the Life-Style Management Workshop?

Every corporate entity wants a ‘win-win’ scenario of increased profitability together with a happy and loyal workforce.   This workshop gives a company the tools to create just that.   After completion of the workshop, ADB Management provides further support on an on-going basis so that the company and its staff can maintain their achievements.

It has been demonstrated that people who have attended the Life-Style Management Workshop find they strongly increase their feelings of happiness.  Their energy levels rise.  Their attitude to their work and to their colleagues improves immeasurably.   They understand that they are responsible for a happy working environment and how important that contribution is to the success of the business.

Stress levels are reduced by more than half as staff realise that whatever happens they can handle it – in other words, problems are just issues to be overcome and they understand that they are capable of doing this.  They grow more confident in themselves and this contributes to higher performance.   Their health improves.   Absences due to sickness (particularly those resulting from perceived stress leading to anxiety and depression) are cut by 30-40%.  A considerable amount of money is thus saved as the business no longer needs to cover staff absences with temporary employees who do not know the job.  Nor does it need to accept a decreased turnover scenario due to a reduced workforce.

What are the benefits of the Life-Style Management Workshop?

Many years ago, one of the major global investment banks stated that people were their assets.   They were very proud of this motto but sadly it was one that they did not fully live up to.  Like many other employers, they forgot about the Balance of Life®.   On the one hand, they offered fabulous salary packages, opulent work premises and even provided excellent on-the-job professional training; however on the other side, they pressured their staff to ignore the family, health, relationship and leisure aspects of their lives in a drive to generate more wealth.  They forgot that however professional any staff member may be, it is almost impossible to expect anyone to consistently leave their personal life at home and keep it out of the workplace.

The outcome of such a scenario is that, more often than not, net profits decrease as staff become permanently stressed, in some cases resulting in serious illness and consequent absence from the workplace.  This is often referred to as ‘burn-out’ and the result is that the company’s true productivity drops.   As for the employees, many frequently find themselves in divorce courts, in private clinics, on the end of a wine bottle or taking recreational drugs and frankly, some of them become not very nice people to know.  This is a ‘lose-lose’ scenario.

The Life-Style Management workshop - followed up as and when required by personal mentoring - re-establishes life-balance and raises the commitment level of each person who attends the course.   Participants discover who they truly are, why they want certain things and why they act in a particular way.  They learn to recognise their own values and perceptions and how to deal with other people’s opinions and comments.   They overcome limitations and blockages to freely live their true self.  They learn to take control of and responsibility for every thing that happens to them and around them and they stop blaming others.  They commit to success.  The working environment becomes less a hostile battlefield and more a happy atmosphere conducive to managers and staff alike developing their natural skills to their best advantage and that of the organisation.

The new motto becomes:  Happy people are the secret of our success!
